I was in Ebbw Vale for a funeral and the Level Inn welcomed me with open arms. All of the staff greeted me by name, everyone was friendly and very professional. The breakfast is fabulous, I could have spent an hour in there every morning! 2 negatives, the first is the coffee, I live in Spain and am used to good, proper coffee, instant just doesn't cut the mustard, especially in the morning! The second is the heating, I found it too hot and had to have the window open, a thermostat on the radiator would be a great investment! Those 2 things didn't detract at all from the fabulous, friendly service at the hotel. Clean, comfortable and very welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a Brecon Beacons base. Thank you all so much!

Stayed here for 3 nights, room was very nice and kept well maintained every day, well facilitated, friendly and helpful staff, breakfasts were lovely and not expensive, overall was a very enjoyable stay and reasonably priced. Only minor criticism is due to location the hotel is a bit awkward to drive to and find, and parking is limited, so you may be better travelling there by train

Mixed opinions of this hotel, staff very friendly and breakfast is good however the photos look better than the hotel is in reality. The finish general finish of the hotel is poor with the majority of work bodged. The bathroom silicone was atrocious, the paint work was all over the place and the TV missing from the wall bracket, also the sink was so small that it was unusable. The price we paid was reasonable and would stay again but urge the hotel to employ professional trades as it could look a lot neater and tidier.

This is a clean and welcoming hotel. Staff are very accommodating and very pleasant. Parking at the hotel is limited, but there is a free car park 50 meters away, so not an issue. Kids playing just outside are a bit noisy but aren't all kids. Staff are happy for you to get a takeaway delivered and there are plenty of places close by to get food. If I had a slight issue that would be with the finish to the rooms, some bits and bobs of decor are quite amateur finished. IE. Silicone around bathroom, painting and general decor. The shower tray feels very flimsy like bendy when you step in the shower, would be better with a stone/resin tray. I would be a bit happier if there was a work desk rather than a little shelf to work on (see pic). I suppose the big question is would I stay here again......YES.

My wife and I stayed for a single night here, and were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness and cleanliness. It was very good value, and even included breakfast (which was a little rudimentary). I'm not sure I'll return to Ebbw Vale, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Had a Sunday dinner delivered. All is can say is WOW. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and so fluffy in the middle, the potatoes were soft, yourchsire pudding was soft and fluffy. Even my picky eating children eat it all. Not one bad thing to say. Absolutely beautiful food. Thank you to the chef, delivery driver and all staff.

Don't judge a book by its cover, the hotel exterior might need a make-over, BUT inside is lovely! Cleanliness: Spotless Standards: Equal to / better than chain hotels Beds: SO comfortable, I didn't want to get up Staff: Day time receptionist (don't know name) speaks so nicely to everyone, so helpful, linchpin of the hotel. She deserves a bonus or raise! Bonus: Free TV and WiFi, Breakfast inc., iron and board available, wall-pump shampoo

Cheap and cheerful. Clean and well equipped room. Plenty of room for 4 of us in a spacious family room. 2 double beds and ensuite bathroom with shower over bath. Friendly and welcoming staff. A short walk into the town for shops and places to eat. Parking outside.

We were visiting the area from Kent to climb Pen Y Fan over the May bank holiday weekend. This hotel is less than an hour from Cardiff and relatively close to Pen Y Fan (by car). The rooms are clean and modern, the staff are so friendly and the breakfast was incredible with the best veggie sausages I’ve ever had. Thank you for your hospitality!
